I’ll start the show with one of my favorite murals, and its not even part of the Mural Mile. Its a colorful “ad” for a beer garden on Market Street between 2nd and 3rd.
And now, a stroll through Chinatown.
This next one is also not part of the Mile. It was painted on the side of a building on 12th Street in the Chinese market.
Art is everywhere; even at a gas station.

One of my favorites both for the color and message, “How to Turn Anything Into Something Else.”
Paintbrush with drip, while not a mural, caught my eye. It’s installed beside the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
The following series of panels is entitled “Unifying the Neighborhoods and Cultures of Philadelphia.”
And last, but certainly not least, is this mural of Lincoln.
Philadelphia has many, many more murals to enjoy. They are all over center city. The colors and stories they tell are wonderful. Take a stroll and look up, look over your shoulder and look behind you and marvel at the art that is all around.
